Q: Do I need a referral?

No, not unless you want a rebate

Q: How can I get a rebate for treatment?

See your doctor;

  • DVA Health Cards (Gold and White) are accepted as payment upon a GP referral
  • Medicare Chronic Disease Management Plans (CDM) allow five sessions annually with approximately $55 rebate
  • Private Health funds vary depending on your cover
  • NDIS participants will need to see their support coordinator / plan manager to include therapeutic supports by this service provider in their plan.

Q. How long does treatment go for?

Following the initial assessment and determining of your goals, a plan is set for treatment sessions involving some or all the following; education, equipment prescription, and practice of breath recovery techniques and/or fatigue management charting and strategies in activities that you do in your daily routine. These sessions usually take 6 to 8 weeks followed by reviews that are monthly or second monthly. The schedule usually depends on the chronicity of your illness, and as always, is determined by your goals and what you are wanting from treatment.

Q. Is there a telehealth service available?

Yes. The use of a telehealth media allows you to receive treatment from the comfort and safety of your home. You will need access to the internet and a device to download an application to enable us to talk via video. If family / friend are needed to attend the appointment with you, to assist with technology, service hours are more flexible for telehealth patients.

Please call if technology devices are not available and you need contact solely by phone.
